Blush & Gold Star Wars Meets Marie Antoinette Styled Shoot

1024 682 Candybar Couture

When they say opposites attract, no one could have imagined how two things as different as Star Wars and Marie Antoinette could come together so beautifully in the styled shoot we recently did.

Taking bits and pieces of both style palettes, we utilized rose gold sequined table coverings while using muted colors with the florals. It didn’t matter where you looked, you were greeted with little details of both elements. Whether it be a Storm Trooper digging through a bowl of gold candies, C3PO wearing a lace face mask, or Yoda eating candy sushi with a pair of Light Saber chop sticks…somehow or another, every detail meshed together perfectly!

Coastal Inspired Candy Bar at The Huntley, As Featured On Grace Ormonde Wedding Style

933 622 Candybar Couture

Coastal Inspired Candybar at The Huntley Hotel

With elegant hues of white and hints of blue, we created a coastal-inspired dessert design for this styled shoot that is beautifully featured on Grace Ormonde Wedding Style. Find the full feature HERE.

This color palette of white, blue and green was a perfect resemblance of the coastal inspired feel. Blues and greens were splashed throughout the design to bring the theme to life.

This themed candy bar was surrounded by a floral designed archway and truly was a centerpiece of the shoot! Cake pops and cupcakes were among many of the sweet treats we offered. We pulled inspiration from the sea for this luxurious California wedding. Starfish, coral and waves were a few of the small accents that brought the design to life.

Hints of gold were sprinkled throughout the sweet treats that created an effortless mist of elegance. Circular candy resembled ocean bubbles that harmonized with the coastal theme. Sea shells were used as accents to accompany the blue and green design.

The ocean theme was encapsulating and exemplified flawlessly within this styled shoot. We loved being able to design this fun and unique colored coastal candy bar!

Pink and Silver “Hollywood Weddings With Kevin Lee” Workshop Candybar

933 621 Candybar Couture

Hollywood Weddings With Kevin Lee Candy Bar

We put our candy-driven mind to work when we collaborated with Kevin Lee and Dee James from White Roses Events to create a special workshop event full of delicate colors, class and charm for Lovegevity’s Hollywood Weddings Workshop. Light pink, silver and white were a flawless color palette in this event’s elegantly designed décor. Candy decked the entrance table and students and  guests treated themselves to sweet treats throughout the day!

We designed dainty candy boxes that were placed among the vases of colored candy. The luxurious color palette and stunning mansion venue helped us create our candy bar vision. We used hues of silver and grey for the candy design because we knew it would exude class and glamour. From cupcakes and lollipops, to chocolates and gumballs, the event was definitely a sweet one!

We worked with Kevin Lee, Dee, and the Lovegevity team to accent Kevin’s floral design. His light pink florals were stunning and graced the top of the candy bar table. Fresh blooms were held in oversized glass vases amongst the abundance of sweet treats.

Lovegevity students loved the table and sought inspiration from our design to use in their own decor choices. The accent of pink floral arrangements was the perfect detail to highlight the silver and white mansion.

Sofia Vergara’s “Tropical Paradise” Candy Bar, As featured on People

933 621 Candybar Couture

We’ve created several stunning candy bars for the beautiful Sofia Vergara, so when she asked us to design a Tropical Paradise themed candy bar, we were so excited! Sofia loves sweets and always wants her candy and dessert displays to be over the top, so we rang in the summer with this Tropical Paradise candy bar! We are thrilled to see this party featured on People! See the full feature HERE.

Sofia wanted to welcome in Summer with her friends, and the incredible vendor team did this, and so much more! The theme for the party was a tropical paradise, with food, entertainment and design influenced by Brazilian, Colombian and South American cultures. From mermaids swimming and lounging by the pool, to multicolored macaws and parrots from a well-respected bird refuge company, the evening was truly a party and guests were always treated to something new! Brazilian dancers kept the dance floor full all night, while guests munched on amazing Colombian food by Cheff Juanma.

Our candy bars embraced the tropical vibe with a bright and fun color palette. Red, orange, yellow and green candies were placed among the designs. The choices were limitless, from chocolates and gummies to custom candy holders! This “delicious, star-studded memorial day bash” was such a fun event to work on. We are thankful to have worked with this team of vendors!

From People: If anyone knows how to throw a party, it’s Sofia Vergara. The Modern Family star has been known to turn her and hubby Joe Manganiello‘s Los Angeles backyard into a massive bash for their friends and family — and Monday’s holiday was no exception. Vergara shared several Instagrams throughout the night, documenting the tropical paradise theme and the celeb-studded guest list, which included her costars Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Ed O’Neill and Ty Burrell, and friends Armie Hammer and his wife Elizabeth. The Colombian native made sure the night featured something that felt like home, with food served by chef Juan Manuel Barrientos.”

Luxury Candybar Featured on Grace Ormonde Wedding Style

933 622 Candybar Couture
We are featured in the Spring issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style… what a treat!
We had the pleasure of being part of the wedding for Edgar Zamora of Revelry Event Designers, and Celio Almeida of Celio’s Design, two dear friends of ours! This luxurious wedding had everything you could think of, from a guest musician and extravagant decor elements, to Brazilian dancers!
The candy bar we designed was an “after dinner” candy bar, consisting of coffee, liquor and chocolates from all over the world! The color scheme embraced a beige and brown color palette. It beautifully accompanied the all white reception.
Take a look at the 8 page feature spread of the wedding, as well as images of our candybar below.

Celio and Edgar wanted their reception to be unique, so they transformed the Hotel Bel Air ballroom with soft Italian chiffon drapery, a white seamless dance floor, blush and white florals and intriguing guest dining tables. Button tufted chairs, half moon shaped banquets and mirror top tables were set with crystal stemware and silver and gold flatware. Celio‘s elaborate and sophisticated floral designs perfectly matched Edgar‘s regal, custom designed reception furniture…”

The Sketchbook Series Los Angeles Workshop Featured on Special Events Magazine

933 623 Candybar Couture

We are continuously in awe of the delightful opportunities we’re given to expand our event portfolio. When we were asked to plan The Sketchbook Series Los Angeles workshop, we knew one thing for sure: it was going to be fun! To see it featured on Special Events Magazine is such a treat! Find the full feature HERE.

To begin, we created an all-star vendor team. We knew The Huntley Hotel would bring the luxurious experience and high caliber. We looped in our most trusted vendors, planner Clarissa Rezende, floral designer Eddie Zaratsian, vintage rental company Sweet Salvage Rentals, and Photographer Karina Pires.

Our candy bar incorporated the beautiful lavender color palette, and still embraced a unique addition to the workshop. We used an antique bar cart from Sweet Salvage Rentals to set it. We used various sized vases and filled them with candy of different shades of purple. From sugar sticks to chocolate rock candy, guests were able to both enjoy the candybar and sketch it! We finished it off with florals by Eddie Zaratsian.

The Sketchbook Series is grateful to have incredible sponsors! All our stunning, blooming florals were sponsored by Blooms By The Box. The Sketchbook Series also partners with Copic Markers, Imagination International, Aisle Planner, Esselle SF, and Honeybook.

We worked closely with Mary to design a space that brought the lavender inspired look to life. Attendees were given the ultimate VIP experience with hands on teaching, delicious sweet treats and lunch, and even a personal gift!

We are honored to have been given the opportunity to host this event. Thank you to everyone involved, and a big thank you to Special Events Magazine for featuring us!

“Dinosaur Adventure” Candybar Party Inspiration

933 777 Candybar Couture

We’re taking you on a dinosaur exploration adventure today!

We partnered with event designer Clarissa Rezende to bring this couture candybar to life for fashion celebrity Rachel Zoe’s sons, Sky and Kaius. This party had the kids on endless adventures!

This candybar was a trip in itself with cake, cupcakes, candy and fun themed drinks for the kids. The center of the candybar hosted the boys’ cake, that was overflowing in forest-inspired greenery and mini reptile toys.

The theme allowed for an experience of a beautifully thematic designed table. Dinosaur pillows and tan canvas blankets surrounded the party. Kids were able to lounge in the safari tent! Kids munched on “snake egg” gummy candies and stayed hydrated with water in ‘volcano lava’ cups!

The table was completely covered in “forest moss” and toy snakes. Tan and brown suitcases gave the table and party various eye-catching levels, and our famous candy kebob’s were styled on a black barbeque to add to the adventure theme. A life-size crocodile laid along the seat of the candy bar table. The finishing touches were the ‘dirt’ cupcakes complete with chocolate sprinkles… when we have a theme to work with, we embrace it at every level!

Canteens, life-size dinosaurs and a live band kept party guests entertained as well. Signs like “beware of dinosaurs” and “keep hydrated” nodded to the fun and adventurous design!

Guest were humorously warned that “in case a dinosaur appears… run!”

Thank you Rachel Zoe for allowing us to be part of another one of your events! Celebrating your awesome sons with all the fun and love in the room was such a pleasure!

Carnival Birthday Party Candybar

933 697 Candybar Couture

Come one, come all, to the Carnival Candy Bar!

Madison’s 1st birthday was a Carnival dream come true. This grand event took place on the lawn of Hillcrest Country Club. Family and friends from all over traveled to see the carnival ‘come to town’ for Madison. It was pleasure being part of this event and bringing the theme to life in a unique, fun and interactive way.

This fun party had everything from cotton candy and corndogs, to sweets and popcorn! Bright lights, fun and loud colors, and balloons brought extra fun. Guests got to try their luck at various games and booths too. This theme allowed us to really go for it design wise, and create a detailed and beautifully thematic tablescape.

Our candy bar design was three tables long, full of sweet treats with a stunning carnival cake in the center. Clown cupcakes were scattered around the table. We had so much fun partnering with Clarissa Rezende to add fun carnival style items from Chakoda Design like the barker, carousel horse, elephant and bear. Bright red hydrangea blooms and red roses in high vases were placed throughout the candy bar to add dimension and height to the design.

We’re known for our awesome Candy Kebobs, so we definitely had to include them on this table! Bright pink and red candies of many shapes were used on them. We had fun picking out gum balls and chocolates that incorporated the color schemes. Rock candies were given out to the guests to enjoy.

We even created custom baggies with Madison’s name on them and a carnival tent for guests to take home their favorites. Having the freedom to design to our heart’s content brought this candy bar to a whole new level!

Thank you Karina Pires Photography for the stunning images of our design!

Martha Medeiros’ Galentine’s Day Party Featured on Love Luxe Life

900 900 Candybar Couture

What’s better than Valentine’s Day? Galentine’s Day, that is!

Our friend Martha Medeiros opened up her Melrose Avenue fashion boutique with a Galentine’s Day party that was both luxurious and chic! The party was featured on Love Luxe Life. See the full feature HERE.

“Celebrity fashion designer Martha Medeiros celebrated the grand opening of her Melrose Avenue boutique with a beautiful and luxurious Galentine’s Day party. The party exuded elegance with a stunning color palette of bold reds and blush pinks. Complete with overflowing florals and a delicious candybar by Candybar Couture, this event was super sweet for every guest! Candybar Couture is the premier source for haute couture candy and dessert bars. Their stunning buffets are a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Their candy bars are designed to be not only an interactive party favor, but also a beautiful addition to the party décor. For this event, they perfectly themed their party around love, beauty, kisses and hearts. Their dessert display left a lasting impression on the guests.
Martha Medeiros has been transforming handmade wefts, stitch by stitch, into luxurious, sought-after lace gowns for a long time. She designs and makes, together with more than 400 women, organized into cooperatives by the San Francisco river and in Northeastern hinterland the most luxurious, genuinely Brazilian lace. “Something that does not exist any longer anywhere in the world,” says the designer, referring to the fact that handmade lace is a rarity in the technological world where we live. “We have unique dresses, with handmade lace. The lace embroidered in high relief creates different textures and makes long gowns even more exclusive. Each bridal gown takes about one year to be made.” This is one of the designer’s favorite themes: dealing with dreams, building stories for the brides. In addition to custom-made dresses, the bridal line has a ready-to- wear line, with more inviting prices. The traditional french lace with high relief appliqués create a multidimensional texture, also custom-made according to the taste of each client. An outpouring of light, soft colors, such as off-white and beige tones, follows the traditional white, which is always present. The romantic quality comes with the corset shape and voluminous skirts. The contemporary mood comes with straight, clean shapes. In addition to the  whole bridal collection by designer Martha Medeiros, they can create unique, custom-made pieces for the bridesmaid, bride’s mother and flower girl.”
